Synopsis:

When their Great-Grandmother Kaia dies, the twin sisters, Camille and Kennerly, become heirs to twin harps, an old book of music, and an ancient legacy. Camille and Kennerly already have a career as harpists, but now something has changed. Kennerly suffers from headaches and nightmares — or are they visions? In addition, Camille begins hearing malevolent whispers when she plays the harp she’s inherited. Unfortunately, they have little time to figure out what’s happening to them as they have a conference in Savannah, Georgia.

They meet two charming and mysterious strangers as they perform in the sultry air. The two men pull each twin in opposite directions. An ancient evil is haunting the streets and cemeteries of Savanah, preying on the innocent. They must wrestle to unlock the secrets of their ancestors, or one sister will be claimed by evil, and the other will die.

Review:

Twin DestiniesBlood Song is a companion novel to Camille and Kennerly Kitt’s album by the same name. By the way, Camille and Kennerly Kitt, while the heroines of this fantasy novel, are, indeed, actual, honest-to-goodness concert harpists.

The story opens with the twins attending the funeral of their great-grandmother, a famous Norwegian harpist named Kaia. Kaia had been following the two’s careers, and she had prepared an extraordinary inheritance for them: a pair of harps made from her own harp, a music book passed down through generations, and a legacy that will force them to confront evil. But, alas, time is short for them to grow into their new vocations as seers. They’ve agreed to play at a conference in Savannah, Georgia, and evil forces and death already stalk them.

For a companion novel, this story is quite good. The darkness and mystery are palatable, as is the French Silk Pie. Twins being drawn apart for the first time in their lives need to find their way back to confront the evil around them.

I don’t know whether to frame this next bit as a complaint or a question. Unfortunately, as of this review, I can’t find the book on any book sites, including Goodreads and Amazon. It is only available at https://debbieviguie.com/product/twin-destinies-blood-song/. Regardless, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
